OvuSense- PCOS Fertility/Ovulation Monitor Update

OvuSense fertility monitor

For the latest info and review of OvuSense, check out my updated post: Ovusense: Fertility Monitor for Women with PCOS [Updated]

Last summer, I provided an introduction to OvuSense real time fertility monitor.

I am happy to announce that there have been over 30 pregnancies reported since OvuSense launched their monitor last July, all from ladies with PCOS who had been trying for 2+ years.  In addition, many women have also reported that they feel more in control over their cycles and fertility, and the accurate knowledge gained by using OvuSense has helped them to make positive changes to help their chances of conception.

Many of the reviews are stellar:

“I used OvuSense for three months and became pregnant! Highly recommend.  I’ve tried everything under the sun, but what seemed to work really well for me was PCOS Diva Jumpstart Program alongside using OvuSense. Very precise. I didn’t even think I ovulated until I used this. Worth every penny!”  Amy, 2015 –Click here to read more of Amy’s story.

“OvuSense confirmed my exact ovulation date.  I was amazed how late it was in my cycle! I had no idea how late I ovulated, and I would have never guessed on my own.  With PCOS, I knew that I might not ovulate every month, but at least I knew that I had this month. I never would have of have known that, or ‘when’ it was, if I didn’t have OvuSense!”  Jenny, February 2015- Click here to read more of Jenny’s story.

Diva Testing: The buzz was so promising that in April, that 7 Divas were selected to try the monitor for 6 months. So far, things seem to be going well.  Several ladies have already determined that they have ovulated after just using the device for a few short weeks. I will update you on their progress in the fall.

Women with PCOS may have a couple of unique issues making this (or any) monitor challenging to use.  First, you may not be ovulating at all yet.  In this case, the monitor is not malfunctioning, but you may believe that it is.  While negative results are frustrating and disappointing, it is better to know the facts.  If the OvuSense monitor indicates that you are not ovulating at all, after 6 cycles or 180 days (read more here for terms and conditions –http://www.ovusense.com/us/guarantee/you may return the monitor to them for a refund.

Second, many women with PCOS have a continually rising progesterone curve that makes predicting ovulation particularly challenging.

So what makes OvuSense so different from other products on the market, especially if you have PCOS?

OvuSense is unlike any other fertility monitor on the market as it uses patented technology to measure core body temperature every 5 minutes, inside your vagina, while you sleep, providing you with a complete picture of your personal cycle. OvuSense predicts ovulation in real time in each cycle, and detects the day of ovulation with 99% accuracy.  Also, OvuSense is the only fertility monitor on the market that can tell you if haven’t ovulated each cycle. No other product can do this.  Many women with PCOS do not ovulate regularly so finding this out sooner is extremely important so that you can seek medical advice.

Women with PCOS, particularly those who are not overweight, often have elevated levels of Luteinizing Hormone (LH), which means that ovulation predictor kits may show you have ovulated when you haven’t.  Therefore, if you have PCOS, it’s clinically documented that many women may experience a ‘false positive’ if you use Ovulation Prediction Kits.  OvuSense is different as it measures ‘core body’ temperature, inside the vagina.  In clinical trials, OvuSense has shown to be as accurate as ultrasound for detecting ovulation.

OvuSense may work for you even if you don’t have regular bleeds.

At the moment, 90% of customers of OvuSense have PCOS, according to the company Fertility Focus Ltd.  Over the past year, many customers have reported that, although they don’t have regular bleeds and didn’t think they were ovulating, that OvuSense has detected ovulation for them.   OvuSense can help pinpoint your exact ovulation date with 99% accuracy and help you to determine the length of your luteal phase, vital information for a successful pregnancy.

What else will you find out from using OvuSense?

Around 5% of customers have a condition the company refers to as a ‘slow rise.’ As a result of this, a prediction of ovulation in advance may not occur in some or (in rare cases) all of your cycles. Women with PCOS are more prone to this ‘slow rise’ effect, and finding out if you have this condition may lead to a more rapid understanding of how to help you conceive.  Only OvuSense can give you this vital information thanks to the unique way it measures temperature so accurately, unlike any other product.

In addition, the company has offered help and support:

OvuSense also has a Closed Support Group on Facebook with now over 1.5K members.https://www.facebook.com/groups/PCOSfertilitysupportUK/462715033880221/?notif_t=like

An “Ovulation Promise”

OvuSense also offers what they call an “Ovulation Promise” –  If you use OvuSense for 180 days / 6 months and OvuSense does not detect that you have ovulated, they  will fully refund your money.  See more about this guarantee here: http://www.ovusense.com/us/guarantee/

The price is $425.00 in the USA and there are payment plans available.  In addition, OvuSense is selling in the UK, NL, DK and Australia with more countries planned for 2015.

No Bueno for me unfortunately. Five cycles without a correct prediction. Confirmation any time between 3 and 7 days post ovulation. Last cycle it told me I was going to ovulate six days after I actually did. Luckily I was tracking via other methods too and caught the egg and now ten weeks pregnant. If I had followed ovusense I would not be pregnant.
