My name is Bryana. I am a 31 year old stepmother of a wonder 7 year old girl that I have had since she was 3. She is with her father and I full time. I am married to an amazing man, my best friend for 11 years before we ever started dating. He is a Bering Sea fisherman in Alaska. We just recently moved from AK down to Bellingham Washington, just for a change. I have been working with Amy over the past 6 months or more, and it has been amazing.

Working with Amy has changed my life in sooo many ways. She has and is leading me into the most awesome lifestyle change, ever. I wasn’t 100% diagnosed with PCOS until a few years ago when my husband and I sought out fertility treatment. I was always told It was what I “could” have PCOS but doctors would just throw me on birth control to make me have cycles and call it good. Well that doesn’t help when you want to have children.

After discovering a dear friend and prior roommate of mine also had PCOS I turned to her for advice and support. She told me she was working with Amy and highly recommended her. I checked out her website, watched and followed the PCOS Diva facebook page for a while and decided to email Amy. The best thing I ever did.

During this time working with Amy my life has changed so much for the better. I am more in tune with myself and my body then I ever have, I have gained so much knowledge about PCOS and a healthier lifestyle – and learned that a healthy lifestyle is not diet, diet, diet like a lot of society believes these days.. I have learned to LOVE to cook and gained so much knowledge on healthy foods.

I am very grateful for Amy’s knowledge about supplements and learned how a lot of the medications the doctors put me on were depleting things I needed like B12 for example. I am feeling the best I have felt probably since I was a teenager and the best part about me feeling this good is it has don’t nothing but strengthen the relationship between my husband and I, and my stepdaughter and I. With having more energy, no more (or rarely) having mood swings anymore everything and everyone is so much happier. I didn’t realize before that I needed to take care of my self to be able to take care of others and be the wife, mother, daughter and friend that I can be. Amy also taught me to accept change, and embrace it. During my sessions with her I went through one of the biggest changes in my life and moved out of the state I grew up in and where all of my family lives, to venture on my own with my husband and our little family. A big reason why I did this also was to be at a place that allowed me to have a healthier lifestyle and more resources, and I am SO happy that I did and Amy encouraged me to embrace the change with a positive attitude.

A big thing Amy really helped me with also was setting goals for myself – this really got me to where I am today, and I will continue to make goals for myself the rest of my life. I also have my 7 year old and my husband doing this. It feels so great to look back and see what you have accomplished and how far you have come. After I meet these goals, I push to do more living a healthier lifestyle and feeling so great is the best reward of all.
The Jumpstart program has also given me many tools to use while on this journey. I have became much more active and plan on doing some of my first Mud Runs this year. I am back to feeling like myself, having energy and a positive attitude.

I would like to wish you all well on this journey and if you are thinking about working with Amy and just aren’t sure – do what I did and take the leap. It changed my life I can’t say enough for what she did for me
