I think a lot of PCOS Divas can relate to Alicia’s PCOS success story!
A year ago today, I cleaned out my refrigerator, went to bed early and started my PCOS Diva journey with the Discover Your PCOS Diva Jumpstart Program. I signed on just hoping for a quick shopping list and recipe list of foods that would help me lose weight to manage PCOS, but the food was only the beginning of my learning.
The first week I went from exhausted, to crying, to elated. In the following months, I learned to cook using fresh foods, wake up early, working to be consistent and to stop comparing my journey to others’ and not giving up just when I had an off day (or month). Those personal lessons were worth more than any recipe.
A year later, I have lost 10kg (22.lb) and am halfway to my goal weight. I can run 4km, ride a bicycle, and sizzle in the kitchen more than I ever thought I would. Thank you, Amy, and the amazing network of PCOS Divas! I have hardly any willpower and if I can do it, anyone can! – Alicia
