Before the 7 Day Jumpstart I needed some structure. I’ve been relatively selective with my diet because I have trouble maintaining my weight. It fluctuates and frustrates me. While I still have a few areas to work on, I feel motivated to continue the changes I made this week for the long haul. The main thing I learned from the Jumpstart program is, in order to take care of your loved ones, you need to take care of your self. I’m recovering from ovarian cancer, caring for my elderly parents (one who has Alzheimer’s), as well as work and spend time with my husband. I had to figure out ways to make time for myself during the week and realize that being healthy is not only about food, but about mindset and positivity. Also, I learned to find the good in the changes that I made, regardless of how large or small they were. The program helped me gain the confidence that I need continue to keep up the good habits and stay away from the bad ones. Amy helped me to think outside of the box and see that I can choose a course that will help me attain my goals. I really appreciate all of the tools and insight I was given throughout the Jumpstart program.
