I vividly remember walking out of the endocrinologist’s office 3 years ago and believing I had found the answer I had been wanting for so long; not because I wanted to be diagnosed with PCOS, but because over the past 2 years, I was being asked to “try” too many medications, had one too many blood tests and left a few too many doctor’s appointments that ended in a big question mark.
I felt a sense of relief wash over me because at 24 years old, all I wanted was an answer regarding why my weight was doing nothing but going up, why my periods were so few and far between and why my dedication to working out every day came with no results whatsoever. Soon after the sense of relief, came a time when I felt overwhelmed and at a loss of where to turn or what to do.
I have found what I am made of; I have found the DIVA in me. I have found what true strength is and what it means to bring myself to a life of health and wholeness. The day I stumbled across PCOSDIVA.com has changed me from the inside out and for that, I will be forever grateful.
I would research PCOS constantly but this only added to my confusion and anxiety. I had convinced myself there were no “real” answers out there and that this was going to be something I simply had to live with. Then one day, I stumbled across Amy’s site, PCOSDIVA.com. My first thought was that those two terms should and could not be put together. Lo and behold, I found out otherwise. I spent hours upon hours looking through all of the information and I knew I had found some “real” and genuine answers. That day, I found hope and knew that while this would not all happen overnight, I could begin my journey to true health and happiness.
I did the Summer Jumpstart Week and while it was a bit “messy,” it was also such a week of inspiration. I got the Summer Meal Plan and while things were still not perfect, I felt in control and I felt lighter – not just regarding my weight, but I could truly feel the anxiety and the confusion lifting. I began to care for and myself like I never had before. I began taking the supplements Amy suggested, while following her meal plan and adding movement into each day. Working out was no longer a chore and cooking a healthy, delicious dinner became one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating parts of my day.
