Before the 7 Day Jumpstart, I saw my symptoms spiraling out of control. Things were mostly under control, until my husband and I decided to start trying for a family and I went off my birth control. Within the past seven months, my skin went down hill (breakouts and eczema), I was constantly exhausted, and always battling with my weight. It was time to do something.
Through the 7 Day Jumpstart I came to realize that I eat past the point of full, and that with a bit of extra work I could make my meals balanced and filling if I used the right foods and planned ahead. I found unlimited support through my husband, and I found the drive to change that I thought I had lost to ‘good enough’, and ‘will do’.
As a result of participating in this program, I found a new girl within myself! Before all this the idea of eating whole foods and managing my symptoms were vague concepts that I didn’t think I could ever gain full control of. After the Jumpstart, I am confident that I can maintain the chef within, and really take hold of some of the symptoms of PCOS.
For me, 2015 started with the same frustration as usual- setting New Year’s resolutions knowing I wouldn’t be able to stick to them, or see any real changes. I stumbled upon PCOSDiva quite by accident (a friend’s facebook feed) and I am glad I did! The slow-drip of material leading up to the Jumpstart week was perfect- I didn’t get overwhelmed and I was able to really think and plan about how to institute the changes into my life. The coaching through the week (especially the morning call!) was exactly the support I needed to be brave and make these changes. At the end of this week I feel capable and confident about my new eating habits, I am excited to find more recipes my husband and I can enjoy together, and I am on my way to being the person I want to be- confident, powerful, and happy with my new lifestyle!
