Before completing the Jumpstart Program, I did a lot of my own research. I don’t feel my doctors are very helpful, they just throw medication at me. Most of what I was finding was consistent but there is also a lot of conflicting information and I was getting frustrated and disheartened. The biggest transformation I’ve experienced through Jumpstart is a new outlook on dealing with PCOS. Today I feel better about what I’m eating and I realize that taking care of myself isn’t selfish…it’s a necessity. My advice to other women is taking control of your PCOS is not impossible. It’s many small changes/adjustments that may seem huge at first but are really easy to overcome once you start. Having a community of women who can support each other is an amazing thing, especially if you’ve been trying to do it on your own. It’s difficult when the people around you don’t understand what’s wrong with you and what you go through not only physically but emotionally. The Jumpstart Program connects you with women who do understand and help you on this journey.
